Savvas Christodoulou

Born in Limassol, he began flute lessons with Theodoros Krasides. In 2005 he became a student of the Prague State Conservatory (class
Jan Riedlbauch) from where he graduated in 2010. That same year he was
admitted to Utrecht’s Music Academy to continue his studies
in the class of Aldo Baerten. He also studied with Gudrun Bourel
and baroque interpretation with Wilbert Hazelzet. In June 2012 he got his
Bachelor of Music in flute performance and education with excellence unanimously. In
November 2015 he got his Master of Music diploma in stage performance with
praise. From 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the State
Cyprus Youth Orchestra and in 2001 was selected as the first flute. He followed international flute seminars with famous professors such as Sir James
Galway, E. Pahud, W.Bennett, P.L. Graf, S. Milan, W. Boustany, D. Bouriakov et al.
He has been a member of the symphony orchestras of the Prague Conservatory
and Utrecht Conservatory. He was also selected as the first flute in
the collaboration of the Cyprus Youth Orchestra with
Mannheim’s Youth Orchestra. He has performed in individual recitals and chamber music concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece and Cyprus.
